Registrations are now open for the Cape Photographers’ next congress in Montagu from Sunday 28th April until Thursday, May 2nd 2019. Click here to register. There is also some  information about the impressive panel of speakers at the congress on the PSSA page.

Voted the Western Cape Town of the Year in 2018, and a finalist for the South African competition, Montagu is known for much more than its muscadel. This is where Boland fynbos meets Karoo succulents amidst spectacular mountains, vineyards with red and yellow leaves, Old Dutch architecture, historical forts and too many other photo opportunities to mention. Have a look at our promotional AV here.

The venue for the 2019 Cape Photographers’ regional congress will be the NG Church hall, where the capable scriba, Elsabe Wright, is also the venue organiser and chef with experience of catering for many big functions. The hall can accommodate 160 people – therefore, don’t hesitate to book your spot once bookings open.

According to Mareletta Mundey, head of the Montagu/Ashton Publicity Association, there is so much to photograph and do in the area during that time of the year (autumn), that she recommends that prospective congress-goers add at least another week to their stay in the town with its many restaurants, museums and arts & crafts.

Over the coming months, I’ll provide more information about the programme, speakers, costs and accommodation options.
